If starting the tour from Nice, you will drive by the English Promenade boulevard,
the beautiful harbor of Nice in a very Italian architecture style, then the middle corniche with a picture stop of
one of the nicest bay in the world: Villefranche and the famous Cap Ferrat before to reach EZE.
EZE : another medieval gem known as the Eagle’s Nest of the Riviera,
offers an incredible view of the Mediterranean and includes a perfume factory visit and shop
that you can tour with a free bilingual guide.
MONTE CARLO/MONACO : Stop at the golden square, the
world-famous casino (passeport and dress code are required,
except for the first gambling room, with a 10-euro entry fee per
person) see, the Hotel de Paris, the gardens, then the Formula
One Grand Prix racing route, see the changing of the guard at
the princely palace (only at 11:55 a.m.) and the cathedral where
Princess Grace and Prince Rainier are buried.
CANNES : Via the superhighway, visit the famous seaside
boulevard "La Croisette", and stop for pictures at the
red-carpet palace where the film festival is held every May.
Free time for lunch or shopping or just wandering around.
ANTIBES : The Picasso’s town and its gorgeous peninsula,
the Cape of Antibes, where movie stars stay during the Cannes film festival. Drive through the old town, with its Provencal open-air market
and its billionaire pier which welcomes the world’s largest and fanciest yachts.
SAINT PAUL DE VENCE, by way of the gorgeous Cape of
Antibes, visit the medieval hilltop village that attracts so
many artists and actors.From a bastion atop the ramparts,
overlooking the village cemetery (Chagall’s last resting place),
you’ll find a superb view of the Maritime Alps, the famous Cap
d’Antibes, and the Esterel mountains to the west of Cannes.
Within the village walls are a multitude of art galleries, shops
with regional crafts, charming homes on side streets, beautiful
flowers abound. A wonderful place for strolling, no automobiles,
view the rich countryside just outside the walls. |
